The McClanahan-Church Memorial Football Camp was originally started in 2015 as a basic skills camp for the youth! Named in honor of three McDowell County athletes who were taken too soon, it was designed to help improve interest of the sport and help young athletes develop an early passion. The camp ran for 5 years with the last camp wrapping up in 2019. After discussions with members of the honored athletes’ families and a community need to improve interest in the sport, we are proud to announce the re-launch of the McClanahan-Church Memorial Football Camp in partnership with the Sandy River Little League Football!
Join us June 11th-13th from 3pm to 7pm at the Sandy River Little League Football Field for some fellowship, fun, and football! Each day will consist of basic football skill lessons with water and snacks provided! Be sure to attend all three days for your chance to win giveaways and prizes! Camp is open to athletes ages 7-12!

For one of our first projects, we reached out to the special needs classrooms of the Sandy River and Big Creek District elementary and middle schools to determine what would benefit their classrooms! We were able to deliver the items before the start of the 2023-2024 School Year!
